[news] 2PM Already Reigning Charts with “Tired of Waiting”

To say that 2PM's comeback is highly anticipated is an understatement - words wouldn't do justice to the countless emotions that many Hottests and kpop fans have been experiencing for the past few days, let alone the past two months. So it's no surprise that, less than hours after its release, the boy band's latest track Tired of Waiting has skyrocketed to claim #1 on various real time charts and met an explosive reaction.

Music Monkey, the professional music site at which Tired of Waiting is being sold, released the song earlier today and watched it quickly climb charts over a short period of time. There's no question that the momentum of the song release and upcoming music video will launch Tired of Waiting into the Top 11 Chart. A representative further explained, "The first official album will be released in mid-November, and will undoubtedly be the hot issue of the kpop market during the latter half of 2009."

...And this isn't even the official album's title track - after JY Park announced that he had personally produced the album's main song, it is widely believed that the "bigger track" has yet to come. Composed by Kim Chang Dae, Tired of Waiting is receiving much attention for its musical quality. Aside from the hype coming from the infamous 2PM controversies that exploded two months ago, the song has been getting a hot reaction for its easy, sensual melody and cryptic lyrics that are arguably targeted at a certain Park Jaebeom. After listening to the track carefully, many fans are even speculating that Jaebeom's voice is actually present in the track; however, with all of the overlapping voices during the chorus and some of the verses, it's difficult to tell.

Although many people felt that they had cracked the code to JYPE with the countdown timer "1:59 time stop" discovery, it looks like JYPE really knows how to keep us on our toes.

[news] Details on Jaebeom’s Return?

CR: shockimpulse @ allkpop

Pls credit the sources and all sites when reposting. Do not hotlink the graphics.

Over a month ago, ex-2PM leader Jay Park (Jaebeom) upped and left Korea after a MySpace scandal hit, and returned to his hometown of Seattle in the States. But is leaving that easy? Now that the fans and the scandal's aftermath has died down a bit, we're hit with the thing everyone failed to think about: the fine print.

Jaebeom, who auditioned for JYP in 2004 has been a member for five years, but his contract is signed for seven years. So what does this mean for the former star, is he going to have to return? There seems to be no other option; after all, it wouldn't hurt JYPE in any way to bring him back. In fact, the return of the loved Leadja would stop all the Hottest boycotts and more importantly for JYPE, boost sales. So it is possible that Jaebeom will be forced to return to avoid troublesome lawsuits.

Although he is not exiled from the country, many say the situation is very delicate right now and that his return might be impossible for the time being. So what time will Jaebeom return? An official gave his insight on the situation, stating, "Because of his contract with JYP, the chances of his return are high but it's all about the timing."

The JYP audition tour will be heading for Seattle on November 7 and people speculate that JY Park will be at the event and most likely meet with Jaebeom.

[news] 2PM Jaebeom’s life in Seattle aired

CR: maestro-J @ allkpop + AznSamManMV

Former 2PM leader Jaebeom (Jay Park) will be featured on a new upcoming KBS2 show called "Into Sunday Night," hosted by MC Nam Hee Suk. The show was finally aired on the 25th, which revealed his face for the first time after leaving Korea.

The production crew met Jaebeom in a dance battle competition in Seattle, United States. Looking only at his face, he looked relaxed. When Jaebeom noticed the camera, he left the place and although they were able to ask him a question, he answered, "Sorry," and avoided them.

The next day, Jaebeom sent a 2PM CD to the place where the production team was staying. Along with the CD, he left a message saying, "I can't tell you anything. Although you came a long way, I am sorry."

On that same day, the production crew was able to meet Jaebeom's family. The family assured the team that Jaebeom was doing fine and his younger sibling commented, "He is doing well. He is spending his time at home," while his father also added, "He is well. I don't like my child being issued constantly," rejecting the request for an interview.

The production crew was able to meet Jaebeom's pastor. His paster commented, "He was a gentle child. He knows how to respect his parents, and have good relationships with other people. I think the Korean society is still sensitive about the second generation Korean-Americans. For example: the problems about the mandatory military services in Korea and also some of the mentalities of Koreans, as they think, 'You guys are living a special life in America, while we are living in a small country...' Examples like these made them [Korean society] react more sensitively about Jaebeom's problems."

They were also able to meet one of Jaebeom's high school sunbaes (senior), Kim Tae Young. He commented, "Jaebeom said he really had a hard time when he first visited Korea. The foods there didn't match his appetite and he knew no one in Korea."

The show also revealed that Jaebeom had matured because of his stay in Korea. Last August in America, Jaebeom had an interview with one Korean broadcast company, and he talked about how hard his trainee days were, and how he was able to mature as he spent time in Korea. He stated, "At first it was hard. I was unfamiliar with the Korean language and the foods didn't match my taste. To be honest, for the first 2 months, I wished I was back in America." He added, "It was really hard. But I didn't want to disappoint everyone so I resisted."

After revealing the hardships he had to go through, he added, "I realized that if you work hard, you can do what you want. I am more mature now. I now wish that I should have done more for my family after I realized the importance of my family, as I was separated from them."

A representative from the broadcasting company who conducted the interview stated, "It is hard to look at the meaning of the sentence that caused the problem [Jaebeom's comment on Korea] as 'I hate Korean people'. The sentence was showing the Korean-American's [Jaebeom's] feeling of 'Korea' while learning about Korean society. He just said it in a comfortable way, in American style... But the Korean society has taken this sensitively."

[news] Jaebeom to Attend MAMA?

Just yesterday, Mnet revealed that the replacement of the beloved MKMF Awards would be a whole new event titled Mnet Asian Music Awards, or MAMA for short. This social event present a new & modern approach to nominations and awards.

And it looks like things are about to get even more interesting, because there are talks that Park Jaebeom just might attend!

A MAMA producer met with a Newsen reporter and discussed his intentions of having Jaebeom perform on stage at the 2009 MAMA.

Nothing has been confirmed yet & it is unclear what the performance would exactly entail, but the production team has discussed the proposal having Jaebeom perform with 2PM, and revealed plans to contact JYP Entertainment regarding this personal invitation. 2PM's popularity has grown immensely since its debut last year, and is up for the hefty awards "Best Male Group" and "Best Dance Music". With such important nominations, it's doubtful that 2PM would choose not to attend, but fans have been questioning whether we'd see six or seven members present.

The producer stated, "I will do everything in my power to try and have Jaebeom perform at the MAMA 2009."

MAMA 2009 will take place on November 21 at 7PM at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium, and will air live throughout China, Japan, Hong Kong and the rest of Southeast Asia on Channel V.

I'm sure many fans will be overjoyed, but at the same time, some readers have expressed joy that 6-member 2PM has finally moved on; even if this turns out to be a single performance, any return of the 2PM's "Leadja" would undoubtedly complicate things... especially with that new album coming next month. But for now, everyone is holding their breath and waiting for what's next. Stay tuned as allkpop follows the future developments of this story! Also make sure to visit the 2ONEDAY Forums.

[news] 2PM to Release New Album in November

Although it's been a month since Jaebeom traded 2PM for Seattle, the fan feud has only heated up between supporters of 6-member 2PM and advocates for a seven-member 2PM. However, despite Korean & international Hottests' protests, JYP Entertainment is officially ready to move on.

A representative from the agency has confirmed that 2PM will release a new album mid-November.

The album was originally planned for an October release; however, with Jaebeom's sudden withdrawal, JYPE was forced to push the date back. Furthermore, JYPE has been faced with significant pressure from boycotters, fans and public opinion alike. Many Hottests have threatened to boycott any six-member 2PM products, and are expected to follow through with their words.

It looks like JYPE & Jaebeom are finally on the move again; as we reported earlier, Jaebeom will reveal his state after the September scandal on the new KBS 2TV show Into Sunday Night on October 25.

[news] 2PM will participate in the Concert of Hope

Hello this is JYPE.

I am making a correction on our announcement about the no participation of 2PM at ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’

I correct that announcement that said 2PM wasn’t going to participate in ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’ 2PM will be participating at ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’.

Even until yesterday, it wasn’t assured schedule so we made announcement but it turns out that today, the schedule was changed so we are correcting our announcement.

This is because when Seoul sponsor set the contract with JYPE it was set that the concert name wasn’t named ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’ , it was called something else. So because of this current name ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’ wasn’t searched there was an error in 2PM’s schedule, and we gave confusion to the fans because of the concert name and the representative.

We sincerely apologize that this gave confusion to the fans in one day.
Sorry.

[news] Sunday Night ft. Jaebeom

KBS 2TV's tv show 'Sunday Night' will feature ex member 2PM member Park Jaebum's life in Seattle, America.

The producer has stated "It's been one month since this star has left this land as if he had run away. For the first time, our 'Saturday Night' staff will meet Jaebum in Seattle."

The program will feature the current thoughts of Park Jaebum as a 3rd generation Korean.

Money Tuday and Star News held a phone conversation with the producers, in which they stated "We have met Park Jaebum personally and have asked for a personal interview. He has yet to confirm or answer. Instead, we were able to experience Park Jaebum's American life such as him conversing with friends at a b-boy competition."

UPDATED!

Jaebum finally speaks out after leaving to Seattle. 2PM's leader Park Jaebum who temporarily (we're hoping) left the group has finally revealed his feelings of the whole ordeal. On a KBS variety show 'Sunday Night' hosted by Nam Heesuk, Jaebum talks for himself from Seattle.

The producers of the show said that they are "meeting Jaebum for the first time after leaving to Seattle. He denied our interview request but has finally come through with a video message that he sent himself."

The video footage has Jaebum saying that he is "rethinking my actions and behavior... I am working out a way to learn from them and have nothing else to say. I think time must pass before I can say anything."

The show will air on the 25th.
