In a survey for advertising models, 2PM had placed in first place pressing Yoo JaeSuk out of the way.
2PM had pushed Yoo JaeSuk out of the way and placed first place as the advertising model that viewers want to see in a 10 day period survey that was conducted among the 38 professional brand consultants with about 1,012 people participating.
2PM had gained 16.01% of the votes coming in first place, then Yoo JaeSuk with 13.34%, and Girls Generation coming 3rd place with 11.86%. Kim YuNa placed in fourth place, however in the top 10 rank, most were idol stars, show off the large amount that idols play in the advertisement industry.
Other than 2PM and Girls Generations, 2AM came in 6th place, CN Blue in 7th, Brown Eyed Girls in 8th, and BEAST came in 9th place. Both Shinee and T-Ara had made it into the 10th place.
According to the 38 brand researchers, “2PM’s TaecYeon, Girls Generation’s TaeYeon, 2AM’s JoKwon, CN Blue’s Jung YongHwa, Brown Eyed Girls’ GaIn, BEAST’s Yoon DooJoon, Shinee’s JongHyun, T-Ara’s JiYeon, and After School’s UEE” are the focus members in the group.

Girls Generation member TaeYeon will be leaving MBC Radio FM4U 91.9Mhz ‘Chin Chin Radio’. With no follow up DJs chosen, BEAST’s Yoon DooJoon and the singer IU has been chosen as the temporary DJs.
The producers stated, “We haven’t not chosen an official follow up DJ,” and added, “Starting the 26th, for about 2 weeks, BEAST’s Yoon DooJoon and IU will be taking the MC role for temporary.”
In addition, they stated, “BEAST’s Yoon DooJoon has the talent and the smooth charisma, and IU has the cuteness and the speedy responses.”
Meanwhile, Girls Generation member, TaeYeon, will be leaving the broadcast on the 25th. On the 19th, when the news that she will be leaving the show was first released, she spilled tears and showed sadness. The reason that TaeYeon will be leaving the show is because she has to do her activities as Girls Generation overseas, and also for the focus of her new musical, “Song of the Sun.”

Best friends MC Mong and Haha have finally come together after seven years for their new SBS pilot program 'Haha Mong Show', where many idol groups have guest starred for the first episode.
On the 21st, the first recording of the "Haha Mong Show" featured members from Big Bang, SNSD, Kara, 2AM, Brown Eyed Girls, SHINee, MBLAQ, and other popular idol groups.
Lee Ji Won PD, who is in charge of this new show, said "After hearing that Haha and MC Mong are back together for a show, many idol members showed their support by appearing on the show. Anyone can see the big anticipation that is surrounding Haha and MC Mong's reunification."
The PD confidently said, "We are producing the show by emphasizing both Haha and MC Mong's unique personalities, and through the appearance of these idol members, the audience will be able to see a more cheerful variety show."
MC Mong and Haha were MCs for 2002 Mnet's "What's Up Yo!" where their bad boy image made them immensely popular. They also were radio DJs together in 2003 for SBS Radio's "Haha Mong's Young Street," when they had the #1 listenership.

Artistes of SM Entertainment will not be taking part in the 2009 MAMA.
SME announced on November 3rd that their artistes including Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee and f(x) will not be attending MAMA. The reason given was that MAMA will be using a process similar to how MNET's music program M! Countdown selects its winners, and SME does not trust the method nor believe that it is fair.
This latest statement comes as SME does not trust in M! Countdown because of what happened with SNSD's massive hit Gee. While the song topped charts of other television networks for 9 weeks in a row, it failed to reach number one in M! Countdown even once. It only made the top 10, one whole month after the song's release date.
SME thus feel that MNET's method of deciding on their winners cannot be trusted.
Also, there is a MAMA-related popularity poll happening on Mnet's website at the moment. The catch is that you must be registered as a paid member of the website in order to cast a vote. SME feels that fans of SME's artistes should not be spending too much money just to cast votes for their favourite artistes and has hence asked MNET to withdraw SME's artistes from the categories for which they are nominated in MAMA.

The year 2009 was like a gust of wind that has brought along tons of new girls groups, but whose hand will MAMA (no pun intended but that's the acronym) hold now?
Major Korean music channel Mnet has announced that their Mnet Korean Music Festival (MKMF) will now be renamed as Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)!
Mnet announced on October 23 that the live broadcast will change its concept and the way they will handle how people may vote for which artist wins the award.
Mnet also announced that Park Ji Yoon, SG Wannabe's Kim Yong Jun and Lee Seok Hoon will become the new MC's of the event.
The live broadcast of the 2009 MAMA will take place on November 21 at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium. People that live outside of Korea, don't give your hopes up yet, because there's a reason why MAMA is titled MAMA! Via Channel V International, the event will be broadcasted in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Thailand.
The special main event will be the "Global Artist Award." In addition, another major change is that the Trot genre will be added on along with the other Pop music awards.
There will be a total of 7 categories of artists, 7 categories of genres, and 2 categories of music video nominations during the event. In addition, there will be a total of 30 awards for each nominated song.
People may start voting on October 23, 2009 through the Mnet homepage.
